Dr. Jack Cistriano Sportsmanship Award

Dr. Jack Cistriano spent more than 30 years in intercollegiate athletics in the MD JUCO Conference, most notably serving as the Director of Athletics at Chesapeake College. There, he was the baseball and basketball coach while also serving as the chairman of health, physical education, recreation and dance. He also worked at Prince George's Community College before he retired in 2004.

Dr. Cistriano is a renowned national and international speaker, having spoken across the nation and internationally in England, Austria, Italy, Brussels, Manilla, Canada and Greece. He served on numerous NJCAA Sports Committees while serving as Regional Director from 1976-2004. Dr. Cistriano had three different awards named after him, including the Maryland JUCO Sportsmanship Award.

Each Maryland JUCO school representative votes on which school demonstrates the best sportsmanship throughout the school year. Below are the past winners.
