Maryland JUCO Names Dietrich, Javitt, Quandt September Athletes of the Month

BALTIMORE (October 20, 2021) – The Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (Maryland JUCO) today announced that it has selected Kara Dietrich (women's soccer), Andres Javitt (men's soccer) and Emma Quandt (women's volleyball) as its Athletes of the Month for September 2021.  

Dietrich (Community College of Baltimore County Essex) helped lead the nationally ranked Knights to a 6-2 start in the first month of the season. In eight games, the sophomore forward scored 20 goals and had four assists to lead the conference.

Javitt (Montgomery College) helped lead the Raptors to a 7-1 start, contributing four multi-goal games that included two three-goal performances and one six-goal game. The freshman midfielder was involved in 43% of his team's goals in the first month of the season.

Quandt (Anne Arundel Community College) played in sixth matches in September, before suffering a season-ending injury. A middle hitter, she averaged 2.55 kill per set, had an .836 hitting percentage, 14 aces, 12 solo blocks and averaged 3.9 points per set.
