Four Garner Student-Athlete of the Month Award

BEL AIR, Md. - Four student-athletes collected the conference's monthly award for April after a fantastic month of the season. Anne Arundel's Meghann Jackson, Garrett's Lindsay Brady, Harford's Ricky DeMicco and Montgomery's Jake Taylor garnered the MD JUCO Student-Athlete of the Month.

For women's lacrosse, Jackson led the conference in goals and points and had a standout April. The sophomore scored 26 goals and 15 assists for 41 points in the month en route to a perfect MD JUCO record for the Region XX Champions. For the year, Jackson totaled 71 goals, 35 assists and 106 points.

Brady leads all softball players with a .565 batting average and was a force in the batter's box in the year's fourth month. Brady totaled three three-hit games and an incredible four-four-hit performances in April, alone. She hit three home runs in the month, and ranks fourth in the MD JUCO with seven roundtrippers on the season.

DeMicco became Harford's first 100-point scorer, totaling 75 goals, 46 assists and 121 points. In April, he totaled 34 goals, 18 assists and 52 points, scoring four goals in every game but one.

Taylor was a star on the mound and in the box for the Raptor baseball program. He currently leads the conference in wins (8) and hopme runs (15). In April, Taylor went 5-0 on the bump with 30 strikeouts and connected on eight home runs, including an amazing string when he had a longball in five-straight contests.
