BEL AIR, Md. -- Southern Maryland women’s soccer saw their team accomplishment of a regular season conference championship rewarded with five players named to the 2012 All MD JUCO Women’s Soccer Teams and head coach Adam Sanchez voted as the MD JUCO Coach of the Year.
BEL AIR, Md. -- The 2012 Soccer season was capped off with successful post season tournament showings. On the Men’s side, Montgomery College advanced to the Division III NJCAA National Championships while Anne Arundel College accomplished the same feat on the women’s side.
After two and half months of heated competition, the Southern Maryland Hawks (11-3-1, 6-1-1 MD JUCO) emerged as the 2012 MD JUCO Conference Champions. They finished tied with Harford (7-5-3, 6-1-1 MD JUCO) atop the conference standings but their 3-0 victory in the head to head matchup (Oct. 11) proved to be the deciding factor.
