BALTIMORE -- The Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (Maryland JUCO) last week announced that it has selected Youness Benmouna (men's soccer) and Erin Moran as its Soccer Student Athletes of the Month for September 2017.  

Benmouna (Montgomery College | Northwest H.S.) scored 16 goals and had 15 assists for 47 points in his team's first 13 games. He collected four hat tricks, including a career-high four goals scored in Montgomery's season-opener against Montgomery County Community College (Pa.) on August 27. Benmouna currently leads the conference in points (47), tied for third in goals (16), and is tied for first in assists (15).

Moran (Community College of Baltimore County, Essex | Perry Hall H.S.) scored 19 goals and collected three assists for 41 points. A freshman athletically, she has fought through two season-ending injuries since fall 2015 to get back on the pitch. Moran had three hat tricks in her team's first nine games, including a career-high six goals against Cumberland County College (September 16). She currently leads Maryland JUCO with 24 goals and 51 points.
