BALTIMORE -- The Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (Maryland JUCO) last week announced that it has selected Katelyn Atchison as its Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Month for September 2017.

Atchison (Frederick Community College | Dothan H.S.) registered 174 kills and 189.5 points in the first month of the season. She averaged 14.5 kills per match and 15.8 points per game. On September 2 against Patrick Henry, she finished with 21 kills and points, both season-highs until October 3 when she tallied 22 points versus Hagerstown Community College. Atchison leads the conference in kills per set (4.13), is third in kills (194), and fourth in points (211.5).
