Falko, Moye Named Maryland JUCO February Athletes of the Month

BALTIMORE (March 18, 2020) – The Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (Maryland JUCO) today announced that it has selected Jacob Falco (men's basketball) and Mya Moye (women's basketball) as its Athletes of the Month for February 2020. 

Falko (Cecil College | Tri-State Christian Academy)

Helped his team to a 7-1 record in February and 19-game win streak before losing at Howard on February 28. In February, he averaged 24.8 points per game (61.8% from floor, 35.5% from three, 78.5% from free throw line), averaged 6.9 rebounds per game and three steals per game. Surpassed 1,000 career point milestone on February 12 vs. Anne Arundel. This is the third time this season Falko has won the award.

Moye (CCBC Essex | Anacostia H.S.)

Helped lead her team to a 5-0 record in February, including an 85-71 victory over Lackawanna to make the Knights 3-0 vs. teams from last year's national semifinals. Statistically, Mya averaged 22.6 points per game (leads MDJUCO), while shooting 56.8% (3rd MDJUCO) from the floor and 41.9% from 3-point range and 84.2% from the line. She averaged 5.4 assists (3rd MDJUCO), 4.8 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game. This is the fourth consecutive month she has won this award.
