Hagerstown, Md- For the first time in program history, the Frederick Community College volleyball team has qualified for the NJCAA D2 National Championship Tournament. The Cougars clinched their bid to the National Tourney by defeating Potomac State College of WVU 3-1 on Sunday afternoon in the Region XX D2 Championship Match.
Frederick, Md.- With a 3-1 victory on Thursday night over Allegany College of Maryland, No. 18 NJCAA DII nationally-ranked Frederick Community College volleyball team captured the school's first-ever conference title. With the victory, the Cougars improve to 20-2 on the season including a perfect 11-0 in conference play. The Trojans drop to 13-6 on the year including 8-3 in conference play.

Frederick Community College is busy preparing for its annual Dig Pink Night, a night that uses the excitement of college volleyball to raise funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. Dig Pink Night is set for Tuesday October 16th when FCC will face Chesapeake College at 6:00 PM. The event is sponsored by the FCC Student Government Association and Community Radiology Associates.
