BALTIMORE (May 10, 2017) – The Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (Maryland JUCO) today announced its 2017 spring season All Conference award recipients. A total of 113 student athletes representing 14 member institutions earned All Maryland JUCO honors.
Softball
The Community College of Baltimore County Catonsville (CCBC Catonsville) led the way with five student athletes. The Cardinals had a perfect 16-0 record in Maryland JUCO to win the conference title.
Chesapeake College was a close second with four student athletes selected to a team. Allegany College of Maryland, Cecil College, College of Southern Maryland and Harford Community College each had three selections. Frederick Community College and Hagerstown Community College each had two, while Anne Arundel Community College had one.

Baseball
Harford represents one quarter of those selected to an All Maryland JUCO Baseball team with six student athletes. The Fighting Owls won the Maryland JUCO title by eight games, finishing with a 24-1 conference record.
Frederick is second with four, while five schools – CCBC Catonsville, Cecil, Chesapeake, Hagerstown, and Prince George's Community College – have two each. Allegany, Anne Arundel, CCBC Dundalk and CCBC Essex feature one apiece.

Women's Lacrosse
Howard and Anne Arundel make up more than half of the women's lacrosse teams with eight recipients each.
Howard went 7-0 in Maryland JUCO play to capture the conference title. The Dragons' Cassidy Delaney (midfielder) and Kendall Stull (goalie) were selected Maryland JUCO Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively, as voted on by the conference head women's lacrosse coaches.
Harford had the third most selections with six. CCBC Essex had five student athletes chosen and Frederick had four.

Men's Lacrosse
Howard leads the men's lacrosse teams with 10 total selections. The Dragons finished 5-0 in conference play this season to win the Maryland JUCO Conference title. Howard's Ian Decker (attack) and Mark Bowser won Maryland JUCO Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively, as voted on by the conference head men's lacrosse coaches.
Harford is second with seven and Anne Arundel is third with six. CCBC Essex has five and Frederick has three, while Southern Maryland has one.
